Been quite on the blog and photography. Due to the snow had a late delivery of a new 2tb hard drive. In 20 years of using pc's I have now had 2 hard drives fail, both 1tb Samsungs. Will never use Samsung again.

My car has been stuck on the drive the last couple of days due to the snow. Luckily it was on the drive and not under the car port. This is now in pieces on my drive. I think the the foot of snow that fell overnight had not helped. Every one of the steel beams had bent under the weight. As it fell it has pulled off several pieces of guttering, this has lead to the formation of large icicles over our front door.
So I decided to have a wander around my village of Keyingham to see how the snow had changed things. It was nice to see people pulling as a community and clearing snow from each others drives and paths.
The show lasted for two hours and had a good mix of covers and the musicians own music. Some of the younger singers it was their 1st time singing live in front of a large crowd. All them performed flawlessly.
Todays photos are poppies picked near the Lisset war memorial. Thought it was a fitting photo for today.

The underside of the Humber bridge. When it 1st open it the worlds longest single span suspension bridge. Yorkshire and Lincolnshires own congestion charge. If the charge was scraped it would help local business work between the two sides of the river.
Need to get out and get some more new shoots. Until then another HDR shot. Taken at Swine church, East Yorkshire.
Have a wedding book here next April. Nice peaceful village. Might have a trip up there again in the near future.

Taken last year in my Dads garden. Always has a good show of fuscias and other plants. Used the coffeeshop.com action for rounding corners and a vintage action to give a faded photo look.
Another old shot. Taken at St Stephens in Hull. Used photoshop for selective colour/mono effect.
